Rockhampton’s Fitzroy River is famous for big barramundi and even bigger saltwater crocodiles – one that was captured in 2003 was over four metres long!

Crocs are sometimes seen lurking in the Fitzroy River, but for a guaranteed sighting, head to this tourist park and restaurant just half an hour from Rockhampton. There are two tours per day where you might even get to hold a baby croc.
