Welcome to 2010! The Chinese calendar says that this is the year of the tiger, and we couldn’t agree more. This year will be our biggest yet as we prepare to fly to more destinations than ever before. First up, Hong Kong! From 1 February, we will begin flying twice a day between Singapore and Hong Kong. And on 28 March, we will expand our operations in Australia by adding Brisbane to our route map. For our passengers, this means lower airfares and more choice.
If you regularly fly with Tiger Airways, you may also notice a change in our inflight magazine. Yes, the very publication you’re holding now. Welcome to the new-look Tiger Tales. With the dawn of a new year giving us an extra boost of energy, we have given our magazine a makeover. Whether you’re travelling on holiday or on business, Tiger Tales has something for everyone.
Each issue will now contain the ultimate weekend guide to a Tiger Airways’ destination. This issue, Sydney is the lucky city, with ten jam-packed pages full of up-to-the-minute information on the best spots to eat, stay and play. We also visit one of the most bizarre theme parks in the world, located in Shenzhen, and feature the adventurous side of Krabi and the best nature walks in Australia. For those visiting Ho Chi Minh City, we hope you’ve packed your salsa gear, as we’ve uncovered some hot Latin flavour in the Vietnamese city.
In our new section, “The Buzz”, you’ll find 20 pages bursting with information on the latest travel trends, must-see sights, must-have gadgets and hot musical acts, along with recipes, restaurant news and business profiles. And our new-look “Touchdown” section offers a comprehensive overview of each and every one of the 33 destinations on our route map.
