The Malaysian electro-acoustic musician performs at January’s M1 Singapore Fringe Festival
YOUR MUSIC HAS BEEN DESCRIBED AS SERENE AND UPLIFTING. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE TYPE OF MUSIC YOU MAKE?
My music can be anything to my audience. But to me, my songs are emotional flashbacks, daily experiences and imaginary scenes.
HOW DID YOUR MUSICAL JOURNEY BEGIN?
I started out as a singer/ songwriter, self-taught on guitar, piano and drums. And then I got into electro-acoustic music and sound production when I started an electronica duo project called muxu. In early 2007, I went solo as flica.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR LIVE PERFORMANCE.
I will be using my standard set-up – just a laptop and an electric guitar. On top of that, I will try to incorporate some visuals to add some flavour.
